New Project: Memecaptor Yotsuba

Let the passion lead us to solutions. As highlighted in Ambient Update #9, developing Ambient.White without a proper budget is not viable. The game concept was originally conceived with a focus on creativity and vision, without full consideration of the challenges in scaling a playable demo into a complete game. Memecaptor Yotsuba is the potential solution we decided to pursue. In Memecaptor Yotsuba we’d like to expresses love to internet community and celebrate the people who decide to follow the fun.

Over the years, we’ve spent considerable time prototyping and concepting—exploring and sometimes setting aside incredible ideas. Each idea was carefully evaluated, but many were dismissed for one critical reason: they didn’t offer a viable path to completing the Ambient Project.

That journey led us to Memecaptor Yotsuba, a potential solution we are excited to pursue. With this game, we aim to channel our love for the internet community, celebrating the creativity and joy of people who embrace the fun and share it with the world.

Memecaptor Yotsuba represents more than just a new project—it is a way to honor the spirit of our community while building a stepping stone toward the future of Ambient.White. Let’s turn passion into progress, one step at a time.

Memecaptor Yotsuba is a story-driven 3D Action Adventure and Turn Based Deck-building game where you play as Yotsuba – an AI created for content moderation on major social media platforms. Players and Yotsuba will explore the history of the internet from 2010 to 2015, the Golden Age of the internet in physical form. Yotsuba soon finds out: simply banning or arguing with trolls on the internet is not effective. And so Yotsuba decides to use tools of the trolls against them: post memes.

1. Capture memes and use them and their skills in posting-battle
2. Relive all the major events, personalities, trends and mysteries in internet culture during this era.
3. Confront the evil of shitposting, and find out what lies behind these dark human desires.
4. Beware, as this story is also a big meme, and thus hides deeper secrets within.
5. Seek the truth in the past, so we all can reclaim what was lost in the First Great Meme War of 2016.
6. Save the internet by embodying the first Memecaptor.
